Scaling & Polishing

Scaling is a treatment used to remove tartar from the surface of the teeth, particularly the back teeth & places that are difficult to reach with brushing. Scaling can also be used to remove stains or black spots from the teeth. This treatment is more extensive than the standard tooth cleaning.

Polishing, on the other hand, is a method used to remove stains or black markings created by tea, coffee, or smoking.

Scaling should be done at least once every 6 months or once a year to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
